Success Education Colleges Prepares for Second Annual Professional Development Conference
Event Underscores Colleges’ Continued Commitment to Developing Team Members
WEST COVINA, Calif.—Plans are well underway for SEC’s second annual Professional Development Conference (PDC), slated for Friday, May 18th at the Ontario Convention Center. The one-day event provides Team Members with helpful tools while keeping them up-to-date on the latest in private-sector education.
“Last year’s event was truly remarkable and we are excited to continue to invest in our Team Members as they continue to serve our students each and every day,” President Mitchell Fuerst explained. “It could not be truer that our graduates are Successfully Enriching Our Communities! – which is the theme of this year’s conference.”
Attendees will hear from an all-star lineup of speakers, including morning keynote speaker and seven-time Congressman Steve Gunderson. Following his tenure in Congress, Mr. Gunderson published The New Middle Class and currently serves as President of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU)—the national association representing career education in Washington, D.C.
Along with the morning keynote address, Team Members will have the opportunity to attend two additional general sessions and choose from a variety of relevant breakout sessions throughout the day.
The conference schedule will also include recognition of Citizens Business Bank, SEC’s 2018 Business Partner of the Year. Bank CEO and President Christopher Myers will accept the award on his organization’s behalf.
“Our Team Members are the reason we have been able to carry our mission to ‘Train students in short-term programs for gainful employment’ forward for the last 50 years,” Fuerst shared. “This Professional Development Conference (PDC) is another chance for them to learn and grow in their roles at SEC as they continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our students.”
